Hugo spritz

The sweetness of elderflower liqueur is balanced with refreshing mint and the effervescence of prosecco and soda, creating a harmony of floral and citrus flavours in spritz form.

Ingredients
 75 ml elderflower liqueur
 60 ml Prosecco
 90 ml soda water
 1 cup ice cubes
 mint leaves (for garnish)
 lemon slice, to garnish (optional)
Ingredients
 2.50 fl oz elderflower liqueur
 2 fl oz Prosecco
 3 fl oz soda water
 1 cup ice cubes
 mint leaves (for garnish)
 lemon slice, to garnish (optional)

Elderflower liqueur is low in alcohol and very sweet. So my recipe includes more liqueur for maximum flavour, but also more soda water to balance out the sweetness.

The mint leaves amplify the flavour to a whole new level, so I highly recommended you include them.

Variations

Really, any type of liqueur can be turned into a spritz by adding Prosecco and soda water! Here are some other classic spritz recipes:

Directions

1Combine the ingredients - that's all!

1. Add all of the ingredients into a large wine glass.

2. Sip and enjoy!

Food pairing

Pair your Hugo spritz with light appetizers, such as salads, grilled seafood or bruschetta.
